4 Reasons Why I love English Tea Shop Super Berries - A Review

Hello my dear readers! Happy new year to all and I hope the year 2015 brings more blessing and amazing opportunity to us. I'll cut this little introductory of mine to give way to my food review or shall I say tea review. LOL.

I have a little secret to tell you and it is not about love or make-up or what not. It's about tea, yes folks! I found the perfect tea for me and it is English tea shop super berries!  Let me list down the things that I love about it and I hope after reading this article you'll try it too.

English Tea Shop: Super Berries
Infusion of sweet strawberries, plums blueberries and perfectly formed raspberries

  1. The scent is fruity addicting! I don't know if that's the correct word to use but that's what I smelled when I mixed the tea with hot water.
  2. There's no need for you to add sugar because it is sweet on it's own. Remember my review about Twinings, you can read the article by clicking the link.
  3. It is a good tea to drink after a heavy meal because of its light subtle taste.
  4. The tea is organic!
I will repurchase this tea again and stock lots of them at home. It's a perfect drink in the morning for breakfast or afternoon while it is still cold here in the Philippines. What about you? Do you have any brand of tea that you like? You may share it on the comment section below.

Lunch at People’s Palace Thai, Greenbelt 3 Makati

Our web content creator, Kuda treats us in this posh restaurant in Greenbelt 3 Makati for our lunch. It was his pre-birthday celebration to us since we did an awesome job for our task. The name of the restaurant is People's Palace Thai and their main specialty is Thailand cuisine.

When Kuda announced it to us we are very excited because it was our first time to eat there. We went there around 11 in the  morning. When we arrived there's no customers yet, a perfect time to go there because we had the opportunity to choose a good spot for our table.

Okay because I am too lazy today let’s skip the long introductory text and let the picture do the talking. We ordered four dishes to share with each other and they are the following:
Phad Thai Rice Noodle Stir-fry(prawns, chicken bits, tofu, bean sprouts)
Yellow chicken curry(eggplant, kaffir & basil)
stir-fried chicken and cashew nuts chili with spring onions
Pineapple seafood friend rice
I am not sure if this is espresso + macchiato or cappuccino + latte but as per Teresa this taste good.
Maricris smoothie, she chose strawberry + banana + vanilla + yoghurt
Phad Thai for me is like pancit so I really love that dish and the pineapple seafood friend rice. The least favorite dish that I've tried is the yellow curry. It has a weird bland taste that I didn't like, my team mates also agree.

I didn't order drinks and opted for water to clear my palate. It is a wise decision I made since the dishes has this intense flavor because of the spices that they've use. We are so full but we still manage to order desserts. Lol.

People's palace chocolate cake + vanilla seed ice cream
mango cheesecake baked + fruits
pavlova mango + passion fruit
I'm not really into sweets but I like the people's palace chocolate cake and mango cheesecake! The pavlova mango cake looks enticing to the eye but didn't taste good. A piece of an advice don't order this cake.

I also checked the bathroom of the restaurant and I am in awe of how beautiful and clean it is.

I love the bathroom sink and the centerpiece orchid
I also love the scent of their hand soap and hand lotion

Obligatory bathroom selfie. Hehe.

Music21: Halloween Office Party & Surprise Birthday Cake for October Celebrants!

Last year we spent the Halloween party at the office. If I can remember correctly, we just invited a small number of kids for trick or treat and had simple snack after. For this year we changed it and suggested to have a videoke/karaoke party, luckily the management approved it. Hooray for our kind boss in Australia!

Due to difficulty on reservation for the last week of October; we set the Halloween party a bit early last Thursday, October 23 at Music21. We went there after our shift and arrived just in time at the venue. I take the chance to shot as many photo as I want but that didn't happened because my phone is acting strange that time. Boo!

Without further ado here are a few photos of the event that I took and our sumptuous meal that day:

The room is clean and spacious. I like it here compared to center stage
Comfy couch
The telephone line connected to the admin that can be use for inquiries, technical problems and order purposes.
The food is served right away after the lady assisted us to our room. Good job!

The event is super duper fun! We just laughed, sang and stuffed our tummy with food. We also have potential singers in the office that we discovered that night.

Kuda's Pasalubong: Belgian Chocolate Seashells

One of my office mates, Kuda went to Hong Kong for 3 days and brought us this Belgian chocolate treat! Tadaaaaa:

Who can't resist with this chocolate indulgence?! Anyone? Of course there's none.
The chocolate goodies while Maricris patiently holds the box while I am taking this shot. The perks of having a supportive office mates! Thanks girl.
I grabbed one and eat it joyfully! It tastes so good. The level of sweetness is just right which I really like about this one because I am not fond of eating super sweet chocolate.
My mussel shaped Belgian chocolate
Look at that chocolate heavennnn. I can almost hear the angels singing in the back ground while I am munching it.

Pandesal Treat at the Office! Thanks Liezel.

We had pandesal meryenda (snack) at the office on Wednesday. It was a treat for us by our newly hired Sr. Accountant, Liezel. Awww, our heart melted when we saw tons of pandesal waiting for us at the office pantry. Who wouldn't drool on this? Look at the pictures below:
The unlimited supply of Pandesal. I can still recall the smell of the fresh bread while typing this entry. Ahh, mouthwatering and delicious!
Our platter of pandesal.
We also have spread; peanut butter and cheese! Perfect for our pandesal meryenda.
Of course I need to have a picture whilst eating pandesal. Haha.
TLC Girls: Tin, Lia and I. In this shot I was caught in the act of eating the goodies.

Lia and I. We are a happy kid with happy tummy hence the pouting lips and shy smile.

Thank you Liezel for your treat. (I forgot to take a photo of her. Boo)

Eating Moon Cake for the Second Time

Yesterday, one of my office mates Josha brought moon cake during our lunch. She told us that she got those goodies from her Chinese friend.

FYI, Chinese has this moon cake festivity for mid-autumn which will fall on September 8 this year.

At first we are a bit hesitant to eat it because most of us didn't like moon cake. Josha keeps on bugging us and persistent. It must be her good convincing power that influence us to give it a try.

I took a picture of the moon cake before those goodies disappear on earth and rest for a while in our stomach. We ate two varieties that day.

We slice the moon cake on four equal parts to share it with one another and to our surprised it has salted egg yolk in the middle. The moon cake taste good, so good that disappears instantly! Sorry if I don't know what is the flavour of this one because I can't read Chinese writings.

First Moon Cake
Then after that we ate the second variety of the moon cake. It also taste good but it's too sweet for my liking.
Second Moon Cake
Have you receive a moon cake from your Chinese boss or Chinese friend already? How was it? Did you like it? Share your opinion on the comment section below.
