Revel Bars

It's pay day and I am very happy that I have money for my shopping spree! Nah, I'm just joking. I am hoping I can save now because last month I splurge on many things such as clothes, cosmetics and my run of groceries.

Anyhow, yesterday I ordered 1 box of revel bars from my office mate Jaybee. It costs 220 pesos, he also sells brownies for 200 pesos. Jaybee told us that her sister is the one who bake those brownies and bars! Before we ordered, he let us try the brownies and revel bars. It is sort of "free taste" and oh boy at first bite our tongue is singing in glee! It is super sarap (delicious)!

My apology for the missing 1 piece. I ate it when I took this photo. I also want to thank my office mate Lia for lending her phone to me.

Saturday Date with Iza

I already mention here about my best friend Iza (Pusa) in my previous blog post: Nars Make-up with Janice Daoud and Dinner date with Iza. We we're former workmates when we were at Neuron Global but we part ways after we resigned from that company. Last June 28, 2014 we coincidentally met in a situation that it's totally funny. It has something to do with a career growth and finding a stable company to work with. I guess you know what I am talking about so be quiet. Shhhhhh.

Beautiful view and weather outside: It was a sunny day
We had our dessert at Sonja cupcakes, Glorietta 2. We ordered red velvet for 85 pesos each. The cupcake is moist and I love the citrus flavor of the white frosting though I shamelessly scrape the portion of it away from the cake because it is very sweet. That's one of the qualities that is weird about me because I am not very fond of super sweet dessert. Huhu.

Family Mart's: Twirl-All-You-Can Green Tea Ice Cream

Yesterday, my fellow office mates namely Lia, Tin and I had an ice-cream at Family Mart along Salcedo Village Makati. They keep on bugging me how delicious the green tea ice-cream from the said convenient store and I told myself I need to try it. Of course I am also thinking of blogging it so that I can share with you guys my experience and hopefully grab one after reading my post. LOL.

We only pay 25 pesos each and the cashier gave us our cones. Of course we are very giddy twirling our own ice cream (self service). I think we are a good twirler (I don't know if this is a good word to use. LOL) look at these pictures below:

That's Lia, she's busy twirlingggg her iceee-cream. Haha.
Oh look she already perfected twirlinggg!

Patricia's Farewell Treat at Krispy Kreme

Working in a corporate world is tough and saying goodbye to one of your co-workmate is hard though we always wish them well on their future endeavours. Yesterday was the last day of our QA specialist-- Patricia. She has been on the company for a month now but had to leave because there’s a more competitive job offer from other corporate. Farewell is never that easy and I wish her good luck.

The qualities that I like about Pat (her nickname) is that she's very sweet, innocent and kind. I actually see myself on her though she is craziest when it comes to love. Anyhow, she treats us at Krispy Kreme along Jaka Street Makati for doughnuts during our coffee break.

Thank you Patricia for your treat. See you around and may you succeed in life and stay pretty as always!

Marithé et François Girbaud & Toblerone

I recently purchase a new messenger bag and I can say that I am very happy with it because I got it on SALE! Here's the catch you can buy one bag and then can get another bag with different model but only pay the amount of one item. Of course I am very fond of sale and promo like this that I go gaga searching for a perfect bag at their stall. Spell happiness at that moment. I am smiling from ear to ear. Heh.

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Hello guys! I'm here again to post some of my food adventure which is my cupcake experience - tasting red velvet for the first time! The cupcake is really, really moist and super delicious. The white icing on top is not too sweet and taste like cheese. I love to devour those goodies for eternity. Yes, that's how I love it. Too bad I only have two pieces to gobble. Opps! I also didn't share it with the boyfriend.

Look at that sweet cupcakes. Enticing right?
All I can say is it is perrrfect!

Baguio Part 4 - Grumpy Joe

Our final day here in Baguio, we leave the place Saturday afternoon. It is a bit sad to leave the beautiful city of pines but we have to. On the other hand I really miss Manila. We're coming home finally! Gah, I do miss the noise of the busy streets of the metro.

We chance to had our lunch at Grumpy Joe. The restaurant is a bit small but they serve fantastic food. Their serving is HUGE too! I ordered their cheese burger and it taste good. I didn't finish my meal because we order and share other dishes.

I heard that their 5 cheese pizza is their specialty there that's why I and my office mates are eager to try it. Without further ado here are the pictures of our lunch at the Grumpy Joe.
5 cheese pizza which is super delicious. 100% cheesy

Baguio Part 3 - Tam-Awan Village, Route 55, Mines View Park & Good Taste

I mentioned on my previous post about our 1st stop on Strawberry farm which you can read it on Baguio Part 2. After the strawberry farm we headed to our next destination which is Tam-Awan Village. At first I thought we will just walking or strolling the place but we end up trekking because it is like a mini-mountain with cliffs and muddy soil. This is also the time that my phone battery drained out. A boo boo for a newbie blogger like me. Luckily I have friends that I can resort to when I run out of photo to use in this blog. I just grabbed these pictures on their Facebook accounts! Yayy.

This banner greeted us when we entered the vicinity

We pay 50 pesos for the entrance fee which is on our part the company shouldered for us. Hehe. The advantage of team building. Hahaha.

Entrance Fee: Children 20 pesos, Student & Senior 30 pesos & Adult 50 pesos
Embossed art of a giant lizard beside the stairs.
I really don't know what is the purpose of this one but it caught my eye and find this cool

Baguio Part 2 - Strawberry Farm

The next day we woke up early to get ready for a long day list of activities that we scheduled to do in Baguio. If ever you missed reading my blog entry just click the link Baguio Part 1. Our first stop is the Strawberry Farm.

At the farm they also plant lettuces, tomatoes and other leafy veggies that is unfamiliar to me. Maybe I haven't eaten those vegetables at home that's why I can't recognize them. Okay, that's only my excuse. LOL.

Strawberries
Strawberry fruits ready to harvest
We don't grab the opportunity to harvest strawberries because it is too expensive. You have to pay about 300 pesos and they will give you a mini basket to store the fruits. We just took a picture of strawberries, the farm, the muddy soil and the flying bees. Haha.

Baguio Part 1 - Road Trip

Sorry if I've been missing in action for a while due to our company's team building trip to the City of Pines - Baguio City! We stayed there for 3 days. The trip is super fun though when we went back to Manila we experienced having a flat tire in the middle of the road somewhere TPLEX exit and the bus driver that we hire was rude. There are so much drama on our trip that I don't want to write it here because it is too much of negativity. Of course we don't let those things stop us to enjoy our team building. No, no, no!

I still can say that we had a blast strolling Baguio City from their strawberry farm, Tam-Awan Village, Mines View Park to their wet market. We also eat out on some famous restaurants that serves delicious Chinese dishes, burgers, pizza and pasta. I also had a chance to try their strawberry ice-cream which is super delicious and comparable to gelatto but forgot to try strawberry taho. Huhu. I'm such a loser like that. Okay, this post is super long that I plan to divide it into 3-4 blog entries.

If you will go to Baguio expect a very long trip. It took us approximately 6-7.5 hours going to Baguio from Manila. My advise is to bring something that will entertain you on the trip such as PSP, watch movies, play games on your mobile phone, listen to music or the best activity to do at the bus is to sleep. We left at the office Thursday morning and had our lunch on one of the restaurant we saw on the road.

The view on our way to Baguio. You will see tons of this view during the whole road trip. Farm, cows, mango trees and local people and repeat this scene again. LOL.

We arrived in Baguio at 6 in the afternoon. A perfect time to had our dinner there at our rented rest house. Actually we planned to go night swimming but the activity didn't push through because we are so tired after we had our dinner. Haha.
The rest house that we stayed for 2 days in Baguio. Super duper cute and very homey!
