Human Nature Night Moisturizer, My Review!

Sorry if I haven't created an entry for a while here in my beauty blog. I've been busy with work and writing an entry on my other blog which is kuripotadventure.blogspot.com err reasons! Anyhow, I miss doing beauty reviews. Yay!

I bought Human Nature Night Moisturizer way back in June 2015 for 276 pesos. Read my post about my June 2015 shopping haul. Yeah right, this post is a little long overdue. Haha. I chose the bottle containing 100ml of the product. It says that the moisturizer should apply on the face during the night time but because I am a cheapskate gal I use this one during the daytime too. I listed below my honest review about the product:

What I love:

  • It's cheap but effective moisturizer;
  • I love how it gives me a dewy effect when I apply a foundation on top of it. It's like I am using a BB cream;
  • It has a pump! 2 pumps of the product is enough on my whole face;
  • It's 100% natural with jojoba and plant collagen.

What I don't like:

  • It has this chemical plus flowery scent that I don't like.

Given my review, you would know that I super love this product to bits. I highly recommend it to everyone. What about you? Do you have any brand of moisturizer that you would like to share here? Leave your suggestions in the comment box.

My Experience Using Apple Cider Vinegar Toner [An Honest Review]

Some beauty blogger that I follow online confess the effectiveness of using organic apple cider vinegar as a toner to clear their skin from pimples. Their positive testimonials got me smitten to try it myself for I have blemishes on my face. Having pimples is a problem that I haven’t found any cure yet and hopefully the toner might be the miraculous answer.

I bought the organic apple cider vinegar from healthy options for 200 pesos and the distilled drinking water from a local grocery store.

In an empty bottle, I put half volume of the two mixtures to create a toner solution. I started using the toner June 13 but had to stop July 8, 2015. It is safe to say that I use the toner for almost a month. My verdict is I didn’t see any notable difference on my face. The toner didn’t help to cure my blemishes instead it worsened my breakouts! I am totally disappointed with the result.

The Apple Cider Vinegar toner may work to other people but not for me. This calls to my another adventure to find the perfect cure to my angry pimples! Haha. Meanwhile, I revert to my old routine of using Eskinol and Dalacin C. I’ll write a review on it here.

Updates: I've gone to a derma clinic and avail of facial treatments. My face is better now compared before. I am happy!

Did you use the apple cider vinegar concoction as a toner? How’s the result after using it? What beauty products did you try that works on you to rid of your blemishes? Drop a comment below. I want to read them all.

June 2015 Shopping Haul

Hi guys, yes I’m back! I’ve been busy in a while and ran out of creative juice to write or discuss here, but that doesn’t mean I’m quitting blogging. Hehe. June isn’t a good month for me when it comes to my financial savings because I did big spending. See my shopping haul this month below.
Tons of sales happening at the mall and I can't resist my shopping hormones to buy items that I will using. Here are the loots that I got:
Maybelline Super Mineral 24
I bought this foundation for 519 pesos and I got a shade B02 because the sales specialist told me that I am in a yellowish undertone. I will write a review for this product so stay tune for it.
Human Nature Night Time Moisturizer
My fellow office mate told me that this is a good moisturizer and I’m looking for one that’s why I bought it for 276 something pesos. Sorry, I can't remember the exact price.
Watsons Dental Floss
New dental floss for a bargain price of 49 pesos at Watson's department section. They have an on-going sale this month so pay them a visit if you're in the mall.
Loreal Smooth-Intense Anti-Frizz Hair Serum
I love this hair serum so much that’s why I purchased it again! This is a bit expensive on my own opinion; the retail price is 345 pesos! Read my review on this link Loreal Hair Serum.

My pocket is currently crying for all the expenses that I accumulated this month. I’m broke but no issue of complaining here! What about you? Did you buy new items this June 2015? Is it a new make-up? Lip stick? Cutesy dresses? Share your stories at the comment section below.

Lipstick Tagged

Since I run out of things to say or creative juice to generate an entry, out of boredom I visit other blogs to look for inspiration. I found this “lipstick tagged” a perfect topic to add on my blog. My apology for not having someone who tagged me with this but hey it's my own page and I can do what I want to do even if breaking the rule for this one. LOL.

How many lipsticks do you own?
I currently have 3 lipsticks; 1 lip ice, 1 Ever Bilena Wicked in Red and 1 Maybelline.

What was the first lipstick you owned?
Nyx lipstick I totally forgot the exact name of the shade but it gives my lips a pink-purple color on me.

What is your favorite lipstick brand?
Right now I can say that it is Revlon because it’s not that pricey and doesn’t dry my lips.

What is your most worn lipstick?
I am using Ever Bilena on wicked red shade

What is your favorite finish?
I basically like lipbutter lipstick. I love Berry Rich lipstick from Revlon and NYX. They’re affordable but have great quality!

What was the last lipstick you bought?
Ever Bilena wicked red

How many lip products do you currently have in your bag?
I have two lipstick which are Ever Bilena Lipstick and Body shop lip & cheek tint

What is your favorite red lip color?
Natural pinkish shade, I like the Revlon Berry Rich so much.

How do you store your lipsticks?
Actually I don’t have storage for my lipsticks; I just put them on my mini-pouches or drawers. Which lipsticks are you currently lusting after? I am currently looking for a peach shade.

I will tagged my two closest friends Uno of Let them Eat Cake & Lyra of Hello Miss Duh to do this post! I can't wait to read your entry guys. Hehe.

Body Shop Lip & Cheek Stain in Rose Pink

I bought this lip & cheek tint product during the Body Shop anniversary this 2015 and got a 45% discount sliced on the original amount. Without the discount it will be 700 something pesos but luckily I only pay for 395 pesos! A win-win situation for my part on spending for make-up commodities without hurting my pocket.

What I like:

  • It blended well on me and it gives me this natural finish of blushing cheeks!
  • It can also use as lip tint but I prefer to use this product as a blusher
  • It has no scent and I don't get breakout after using this product
  • It can last for 6 hours when I use it as a blush
  • It has no shiny finished which is I really love.
  • I can easily blend the tint on my cheeks with a patting motion using my clean fingers.

What I don't like:
  • The packaging is too small
  • I need to put more amount of tint on my cheeks before I see a nice result
I will repurchase this product again and I guess I found a nice blusher this year that will give me a "no make-up look". What about you? Do you have any lip & cheek tint brand that you love? Are you willing to recommend that product to other woman out there? Share your comments below.

May 2015 Shopping Haul

Make-up products that I bought for the month of May 2015. I'm fortunate that I still save little money even though my shopping hormones strikes horribly this past few weeks! Ugh, but boy it's all worth it purchase because I bought some of beauty products that I mention below on sale. Haha.

Anti-slip pony tail holder from Nouveau
Ellipse Sponge from Etude House and Lip & Cheek Tint from Body Shop on the shade of rose pink. Watch out for my review of these products here in my blog soon!
Ever Bilena Lipstick. I like the Wicked Red Shade more than Bubble Gum. For more details read my review here.

What about you? Do you have any shopping hauls for this month of May 2015?

Ever Bilena: Wicked Red & Bubble Gum Lipstick Shade

Sorry if I have been missing in action for a while here due to I wasn't feeling well last week. I had hyper-acidity and I wasn't able to report to work for three consecutive days! Luckily, I'm all good now and ready to mingle in the blogging sphere. To kick-off here's my review of my recently purchase lipstick products for the month of May 2015.

I've been trying to save a few bucks but my shopping hormones strikes again! (Oh no trouble). Good thing I saw a very inexpensive line of make-up at SM department stores which is Ever Bilena. It is a local brand of  make-up company here in the Philippines. I happily bought two shades of lippies which are Wicked Red and Bubble Gum.

Bubble Gum & Wicked Red
The "Wicked Red" has a slightly red shade and I bought this because I don't have any red lipstick in my make-up kit while the "Bubble Gum" has a shade of orange which is perfect for this summer month of May.
Wicked Red. Picture Taken with Camera Flash

Wicked Red shade on my lips
Bubble Gum. Picture Taken with Camera Flash. It doesn't look here it is an orange shade lipstick but it is.
Bubble Gum shade on my lips
What I like:
  • It is cheap. I bought it 165 pesos per shade
  • It has vitamin E for moisture which is good for the lips.
  • It is a Filipino brand and you can purchase it everywhere as long as you reside in the Philippines
What I don't like:
  • The longevity is for an hour or two only. I need to reapply it again so that the color is visible
  • It has 30% glossy texture when I apply it on my lips. I don't hate it nor love it either.
  • It has this weir scent that is 70% tolerable.
  • It's patchy on the lips!
I often use Wicked Red more than Bubble Gum because the latter color doesn't fit for my liking. I hope I can find the perfect shade of orange for me so that I can pull it off. All in all I am 60% happy with the result of this line of lipstick because of availability and cheapness. As the famous cliche says "You get what you pay for" is applicable for this product which is suitable for students, teens and for all the ladies who doesn't like to spend more on make-up commodity.

Have you try Ever Bilena products before? How about their lipstick range? Are you happy about it? Share your comments below.

Things I Want to Achieved Before I turn 30!

Photo grabbed from laurenlatelyblog.com

I'll be turning 26 in a couple of months and if you will ask me if I am happy about it, I would say "yes" and "no". Yes, because another year will be added to my age and I'm very blessed to live on earth for this long (Uyy, ang drama!). And no because it will shorten my time to accomplish my goals before I hit 30. Now that we are talking about what I want to achieved in life, let me list them here:

  • I want to own a 2 storey house in a secured subdivision either in Taguig or around Metro Manila.
  • I want to have my own business! I know that I can't be rich by having a job and rely on monthly pay check. I need to create or have an extra income on the side to be financially stable. I'm still thinking of what business shall I venture or put up. I'm now starting to save money to use as a capital.
  • I want to get married at the age of 28 and have kids before I hit 30.
  • Travel the entire Philippines starting June of 2016! Why do I chose that month and year? It's because my youngest sister will expected to graduate on March 2016. I am basically FREE from loads of expenses!  More money to travel local places. Weeee!
  • Renovate our house and turn it into a 4 door apartment.
  • Have braces without having no reason at all.
  • Lose weight. Dreaming of 105 lbs. weight and have flat tummy! I'm currently 113 lbs. now which is a boo, boo!
  • Learn how to bake either cupcakes or breads.
  • Learn how to swim on a deep ocean.
  • Cauterize my small warts on different areas of my body. I just want to get rid of them.
  •  Having a flawless skin especially on the face area. I have pimple scars on my face right now and it makes me sad sometimes.
  • Travel to my province, Daanbantayan Cebu!
  • Get a passport.
That's all for now but I will add more if something pop-up in my head. LOL. Anyway, Do you have 30 goals before you hit 30 someday? Why not share them here on the comment section below.

My Verdict on Maybelline Baby Lips Color Tangerine Pop

Aside from my fondness of using hair serum I also love lip balms! I already tried using few brands such as EOS, Chapstick, Nivea, Vaseline and Watsons lip balm. I have a very dry lips and I always bring one wherever I go, it's my saver whenever I'm experiencing chapping or drying of my lips.

I hit the bottom of my Maybelline Dr. Rescue and I was thinking of buying a new one when I saw that they have "New Bright Collection". I thought why not try all of the shade one at a time.

The color tangerine pop got my attention and I was very giddy to purchase it.
Baby lips in Tangerine Pop
I will not make this entry long and continue to my final verdict of this Maybelline tangerine pop lip balm. Here's my two cents on the said product.
It is a little bit pinkish for me rather than orange-y when I applied it on my lips!
Photo taken with a flash

Pros:
  • It is cheap; I bought it at 89 pesos at the SM Department stores
  • It moisturize my lips that has a longevity of 3.5 hours
  • 25% visibility of the tangerine pop color (a bit pinkish) which is for my part a good thing because I want to achieve the a natural look on my lips.
  • It has SPF
  • It has a nice fruity scent
Cons:
  • It tends to melt during a hot weather.
I am quite happy with this lip balm and I consider purchasing it again when I finish reviewing all the colors! Do you like this range of lip balm? Why not share your experience below on the comment section.

2015 Annual Team Building at Palm Beach Resort, Laiya Batangas!

Our annual company team building was held last week on the day of "Araw ng Kagitingan" Thursday April 9 to 10. Last year we went to Baguio City of Pines for our team outing but this time the management decided to conduct the event on Palm Beach Resort Laiya Batangas! I am very excited since it was my first time to go to the place and I also missed the beach. It’s been a decade since I had a chance to see an ocean.

We left in Makati exactly 7 in the morning and it took us roughly 4 hours to get to our destination. Good thing the bus has videoke to kill time while we're on the road. We arrived early on the resort and grab the chance to roam around the vicinity for couple of minutes before the activity starts. We use that free time to shot the place, selfies and group pictures!
Palm Beach Reception Area
I took this photo while I am at the veranda of Casa Alexandra. I hope I can have this awesome view every morning!
Thanks for James for taking this photo of one of the two infinity pool at the resort

We are divided into three teams: blue, red and yellow which consists of 6 members per each.
Red Team from L-R: Maricris, Tin, Sylvia, Joselito, Mark & Ron
I'm part of the yellow team and we call our group as "SuperYellowFragilisticExpialidocious" I don't know if my spelling is correct. I can't even pronounce our group name with out twisting my tongue because it's too long. LOL.
Yellow Team from L-R: Jerwin, James, Gian, Me, Apple & Grapes. Look how fresh and giddy we are here.
Blue Team L-R: Teresa, Paulo, Christine, Jean, Donn, Karlo. The winning team!
To cut the story short we end up on second place and we grabbed the team spirit award! Woot, woot. Here's the picture of our team during the awarding:
We looked very haggard here but we have fun!
After the exciting games ended it's now time for us to enjoy the whole amenities of the resort such as the 2 infinite pools, swim in the beach or just stroll the place. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast there and I can say that the food was great! Kudos to the chef on the kitchen. I also like how attentive all the employees of Palm beach on serving new food on the buffet table for us hungry tourists. The majority of the dishes served are Filipino delicacies. Here are some dishes that my co-workmate shot during our lunch.

Beef Sinigang Meet
A bowl of salted egg and onions
Sinukmani which is comparable to rice cake/biko but this one is tastier because it has ground nuts and I can taste the langka (jack fruit). This dessert is super delicious!
I really enjoyed our team building this year compared last year. The place is awesome, the activities are fun and the food are delicious! What about you? Do you enjoyed your company's outing? Do you have an awesome summer? Why not share your experience in the comment section below.

10 Financial Tips that I do to Save Money

photo grabbed from ecx.images-amazon.com
I’m now halfway to my 20’s and it is hard to admit that I am not getting any younger but have low net worth, less earning income and zero property. Last year, I started saving money for my retirement plan and for purchasing future property or for venturing into business. I am now on the verge of aggressively increasing my savings and these following tips really help me to achieve it:

1.       I record all my expenditures every month to easily track down which expenses I need to minimize or avoid spending.

2.       I am an impulsive buyer before but now I try to control it by categorizing the product or things that caught my eye if that's a necessity or not.

3.       I eat out one fewer time each month.

4.       I avoid going to the malls during payday.

5.       I do my shopping during sale.

6.       When I do my grocery, I bring a list with me and I stick to it. I also make sure that I am not hungry or else I might purchase things that I don’t really need.

7.       I bring my packed lunch to work.

8.       During payday I take off 10%-20% off my net income to put into my savings account. This one is the hardest thing to do but it makes me happy when I know I got to save more for that month.

9.       Live a simple life. Don’t be a snob or purchase things that are expensive especially if you can’t afford it. I learned this mantra from our former sr. accountant of the company I am working right now.

10.   I watch my savings grow and it gives me a satisfaction that I am on the right track. I giggle when I reach or meet my target amount quarterly.

I hope those tips I mentioned above will also inspires you to save more and be financially free from debts! Why not share your saving tips on the comment section below so that we can discuss it.

Loreal Anti-Freeze Serum Leave On & 6 Reasons Why I like it

I have unruly hair and if you happened to be one of my closest friends you would know that I'm super addicted on using hair serum! It is timely that I run out of Etude House hair serum and the shopping hormones was activated in me that day. I went to Watson’s and Loreal Anti-Frizz Serum caught my eyes.  I guess it was love at first sight that I immediately run to the cashier to pay for the product. Hehe.

L'oreal Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum Leave On
(Sorry for the bad resolution of the photo because I shot it using my dinosaur phone)

It has been two weeks since I am using it and I find a tremendous result in my hair. Here are my top 6 reasons why I like the product:

  1. It has this subtle floral scent like jasmine.
  2. It is not sticky nor oily when I apply it on my hair.
  3. My hair becomes less rebellious and easy to manage.
  4. It gives my hair a mild shine minus the oily wet look.
  5. It is cheaper I bought it at Watson's for 345 pesos! It is more inexpensive than the Etude House Hair Serum.
  6. It has Argan oil which is very good on hair.

Trying Out the Pantene 3-Minute Miracle Conditioner

I'm one of those lucky ladies who got a free sample of Pantene 3-Minute Miracle on bdjbox.com! This new range of conditioner from Pantene is not yet out on the super markets and I'm happy that I got the chance to review it first before the prelaunch.

When I received the package I got so excited to try it out right away because I have a wavy and frizzy hair to tame. Without further ado here are my unbiased thoughts about the product.

  • My hair felt smoother and softer after I use the product. By the way I use it for three consecutive days.
  • It has a very nice smell on the hair that's not overpowering
  • It is much easier for me to comb my unmanageable hair (Blame it on the perks of having a wavy and frizzy hair. Shout out if you are with me! LOL.)
  • After I dry my hair I noticed that my hair is 40% less frizzy which is a good thing because I don't look like a witch anymore. I just apply a hair serum to tack it up.
All in all I am quite happy about the result. I am willing to purchase this product when it is already out in the market. Do you have any thoughts about Pantene 3-Minute Miracle Conditioner? Why not share it down below on the comment section.

25 Facts About Me

This article came out to me while browsing random blogs online and thought it is a good  topic to talked about here in my page. The original title is "50 Facts About Me" but I shortened the list because of two reasons: First, I might run out of ideas/information to list it here and second it's too boring to read long blog post. Hehe. Okay, let's begin!

  1. I have a wavy hair

I've been searching for a long time to find the right hair serum for my thick, dry and unmanageable wavy hair. As I looked vigorously, I finally found the answer on the form of “Silk Scarf Hologram Hair Serum” from Etude House. Tadaaaaaaa!

I can now say hello to amazing hair every day and bid farewell for bad hair days forever! Isn't that cool?! Meow. To share this wonderful discovery of mine I will list down below the reasons why I love the product so much.

  1. The bottle has a pump in which I can control the amount of hair serum to put on my hair
  2. It is light and not sticky nor oily when I apply it on my hair
  3. The hair serum has a nice scent but not too powerful that it hurt my nose
  4. The product can be purchase on all Etude House stall.
The only down side that I can think about the hair serum is the price. It is a bit expensive for 348 pesos but I will willingly repurchase it again since I am happy with the result it gives to my hair.

Do you have any hair serum that you can suggest to me that's good but much cheaper? Kindly post the comment below. To end this note I would like to remind you that you are awesome today and stay pretty always!

4 Reasons Why I love English Tea Shop Super Berries - A Review

Hello my dear readers! Happy new year to all and I hope the year 2015 brings more blessing and amazing opportunity to us. I'll cut this little introductory of mine to give way to my food review or shall I say tea review. LOL.

I have a little secret to tell you and it is not about love or make-up or what not. It's about tea, yes folks! I found the perfect tea for me and it is English tea shop super berries!  Let me list down the things that I love about it and I hope after reading this article you'll try it too.

English Tea Shop: Super Berries
Infusion of sweet strawberries, plums blueberries and perfectly formed raspberries

  1. The scent is fruity addicting! I don't know if that's the correct word to use but that's what I smelled when I mixed the tea with hot water.
  2. There's no need for you to add sugar because it is sweet on it's own. Remember my review about Twinings, you can read the article by clicking the link.
  3. It is a good tea to drink after a heavy meal because of its light subtle taste.
  4. The tea is organic!
I will repurchase this tea again and stock lots of them at home. It's a perfect drink in the morning for breakfast or afternoon while it is still cold here in the Philippines. What about you? Do you have any brand of tea that you like? You may share it on the comment section below.
