Note to Myself

There are situations in my life that I can't control or run out of my hand that's why I decided to create this entry to remind myself about what to do and not to do so that I can achieved my goals!

  1. Strive hard for the best! It goes by the saying "Try and try until you succeed", continue looking for that "opportunity" you want to achieved. You will find a new work eventually if you keep on believing on yourself and please don't compare yourself to others. You are unique and perfect in God's eye!
  2. Try to prevent impulse buying. Remember that you have still enough beauty commodities that you still doesn't use.
  3. List all the things you want to buy and categorize them if that's falls in necessity or needs.
  4. Save 20% of your monthly paycheck for your savings! Don't just stick to 10% rule. Aim for the bigger funds.
  5. Love yourself and always pray!
How about you? Do you have a note to yourself too that you want to follow in order to achieved your goals? Why not post the link of your entry here so that I can check it out.

  2. I can eat spaghetti with out having hyper-acidity. Yay!
  3. I am now 100% back to normal and I noticed that I am not constipated after I got sick. I don't know if that's the side effect of my meds or not.
  4. Liking now the taste of milk or green tea for breakfast. I am ditching coffee because of my hyper-acidity.
  5. Shopping some make-up commodities.
  6. Having a serious talk with my boyfriend and supporting him for his review for the electrical engineering board exam this October 2015. I hope he passed the exam with flying colors. He's aiming to be on the top 10!
  7. Nina, my younger siblings next to me  has now a new job in a more stable company. I am very proud of her because at the early age she knows what she wants and want to achieved in life.

Ellipse Sponge from Etude House and Lip & Cheek Tint from Body Shop on the shade of rose pink. Watch out for my review of these products here in my blog soon!
Ever Bilena Lipstick. I like the Wicked Red Shade more than Bubble Gum. For more details read my review here.

Ever Bilena: Wicked Red & Bubble Gum Lipstick Shade

Sorry if I have been missing in action for a while here due to I wasn't feeling well last week. I had hyper-acidity and I wasn't able to report to work for three consecutive days! Luckily, I'm all good now and ready to mingle in the blogging sphere. To kick-off here's my review of my recently purchase lipstick products for the month of May 2015.

I've been trying to save a few bucks but my shopping hormones strikes again! (Oh no trouble). Good thing I saw a very inexpensive line of make-up at SM department stores which is Ever Bilena. It is a local brand of  make-up company here in the Philippines. I happily bought two shades of lippies which are Wicked Red and Bubble Gum.

Bubble Gum & Wicked Red
The "Wicked Red" has a slightly red shade and I bought this because I don't have any red lipstick in my make-up kit while the "Bubble Gum" has a shade of orange which is perfect for this summer month of May.

Bubble Gum. Picture Taken with Camera Flash. It doesn't look here it is an orange shade lipstick but it is.
Bubble Gum shade on my lips
What I like:
  • It is cheap. I bought it 165 pesos per shade
  • It has vitamin E for moisture which is good for the lips.
  • It is a Filipino brand and you can purchase it everywhere as long as you reside in the Philippines
What I don't like:
  • The longevity is for an hour or two only. I need to reapply it again so that the color is visible
  • It has 30% glossy texture when I apply it on my lips. I don't hate it nor love it either.
  • It has this weir scent that is 70% tolerable.
  • It's patchy on the lips!
I often use Wicked Red more than Bubble Gum because the latter color doesn't fit for my liking. I hope I can find the perfect shade of orange for me so that I can pull it off. All in all I am 60% happy with the result of this line of lipstick because of availability and cheapness. As the famous cliche says "You get what you pay for" is applicable for this product which is suitable for students, teens and for all the ladies who doesn't like to spend more on make-up commodity.

Have you try Ever Bilena products before? How about their lipstick range? Are you happy about it? Share your comments below.

Things I Want to Achieved Before I turn 30!

Photo grabbed from laurenlatelyblog.com

I'll be turning 26 in a couple of months and if you will ask me if I am happy about it, I would say "yes" and "no". Yes, because another year will be added to my age and I'm very blessed to live on earth for this long (Uyy, ang drama!). And no because it will shorten my time to accomplish my goals before I hit 30. Now that we are talking about what I want to achieved in life, let me list them here:

  • I want to own a 2 storey house in a secured subdivision either in Taguig or around Metro Manila.
  • I want to have my own business! I know that I can't be rich by having a job and rely on monthly pay check. I need to create or have an extra income on the side to be financially stable. I'm still thinking of what business shall I venture or put up. I'm now starting to save money to use as a capital.
  • I want to get married at the age of 28 and have kids before I hit 30.
  • Travel the entire Philippines starting June of 2016! Why do I chose that month and year? It's because my youngest sister will expected to graduate on March 2016. I am basically FREE from loads of expenses!  More money to travel local places. Weeee!
  • Renovate our house and turn it into a 4 door apartment.
  • Have braces without having no reason at all.
  • Lose weight. Dreaming of 105 lbs. weight and have flat tummy! I'm currently 113 lbs. now which is a boo, boo!
  • Learn how to bake either cupcakes or breads.
  • Learn how to swim on a deep ocean.
  • Cauterize my small warts on different areas of my body. I just want to get rid of them.
  •  Having a flawless skin especially on the face area. I have pimple scars on my face right now and it makes me sad sometimes.
  • Travel to my province, Daanbantayan Cebu!
  • Get a passport.
That's all for now but I will add more if something pop-up in my head. LOL. Anyway, Do you have 30 goals before you hit 30 someday? Why not share them here on the comment section below.

My Verdict on Maybelline Baby Lips Color Tangerine Pop

Aside from my fondness of using hair serum I also love lip balms! I already tried using few brands such as EOS, Chapstick, Nivea, Vaseline and Watsons lip balm. I have a very dry lips and I always bring one wherever I go, it's my saver whenever I'm experiencing chapping or drying of my lips.

I hit the bottom of my Maybelline Dr. Rescue and I was thinking of buying a new one when I saw that they have "New Bright Collection". I thought why not try all of the shade one at a time.

The color tangerine pop got my attention and I was very giddy to purchase it.
Baby lips in Tangerine Pop
I will not make this entry long and continue to my final verdict of this Maybelline tangerine pop lip balm. Here's my two cents on the said product.
It is a little bit pinkish for me rather than orange-y when I applied it on my lips!
Photo taken with a flash

Pros:
  • It is cheap; I bought it at 89 pesos at the SM Department stores
  • It moisturize my lips that has a longevity of 3.5 hours
  • 25% visibility of the tangerine pop color (a bit pinkish) which is for my part a good thing because I want to achieve the a natural look on my lips.
  • It has SPF
  • It has a nice fruity scent
Cons:
  • It tends to melt during a hot weather.
I am quite happy with this lip balm and I consider purchasing it again when I finish reviewing all the colors! Do you like this range of lip balm? Why not share your experience below on the comment section.

2015 Annual Team Building at Palm Beach Resort, Laiya Batangas!

Our annual company team building was held last week on the day of "Araw ng Kagitingan" Thursday April 9 to 10. Last year we went to Baguio City of Pines for our team outing but this time the management decided to conduct the event on Palm Beach Resort Laiya Batangas! I am very excited since it was my first time to go to the place and I also missed the beach. It’s been a decade since I had a chance to see an ocean.

We left in Makati exactly 7 in the morning and it took us roughly 4 hours to get to our destination. Good thing the bus has videoke to kill time while we're on the road. We arrived early on the resort and grab the chance to roam around the vicinity for couple of minutes before the activity starts. We use that free time to shot the place, selfies and group pictures!

I took this photo while I am at the veranda of Casa Alexandra. I hope I can have this awesome view every morning!
Thanks for James for taking this photo of one of the two infinity pool at the resort

We are divided into three teams: blue, red and yellow which consists of 6 members per each.
Red Team from L-R: Maricris, Tin, Sylvia, Joselito, Mark & Ron
I'm part of the yellow team and we call our group as "SuperYellowFragilisticExpialidocious" I don't know if my spelling is correct. I can't even pronounce our group name with out twisting my tongue because it's too long. LOL.
Yellow Team from L-R: Jerwin, James, Gian, Me, Apple & Grapes. Look how fresh and giddy we are here.
Blue Team L-R: Teresa, Paulo, Christine, Jean, Donn, Karlo. The winning team!
To cut the story short we end up on second place and we grabbed the team spirit award! Woot, woot. Here's the picture of our team during the awarding:
We looked very haggard here but we have fun!
After the exciting games ended it's now time for us to enjoy the whole amenities of the resort such as the 2 infinite pools, swim in the beach or just stroll the place. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast there and I can say that the food was great! Kudos to the chef on the kitchen. I also like how attentive all the employees of Palm beach on serving new food on the buffet table for us hungry tourists. The majority of the dishes served are Filipino delicacies. Here are some dishes that my co-workmate shot during our lunch.

Beef Sinigang Meet
A bowl of salted egg and onions
Sinukmani which is comparable to rice cake/biko but this one is tastier because it has ground nuts and I can taste the langka (jack fruit). This dessert is super delicious!
I really enjoyed our team building this year compared last year. The place is awesome, the activities are fun and the food are delicious! What about you? Do you enjoyed your company's outing? Do you have an awesome summer? Why not share your experience in the comment section below.

10 Financial Tips that I do to Save Money

photo grabbed from ecx.images-amazon.com
I’m now halfway to my 20’s and it is hard to admit that I am not getting any younger but have low net worth, less earning income and zero property. Last year, I started saving money for my retirement plan and for purchasing future property or for venturing into business. I am now on the verge of aggressively increasing my savings and these following tips really help me to achieve it:

1.       I record all my expenditures every month to easily track down which expenses I need to minimize or avoid spending.

2.       I am an impulsive buyer before but now I try to control it by categorizing the product or things that caught my eye if that's a necessity or not.

3.       I eat out one fewer time each month.

4.       I avoid going to the malls during payday.

5.       I do my shopping during sale.

6.       When I do my grocery, I bring a list with me and I stick to it. I also make sure that I am not hungry or else I might purchase things that I don’t really need.

7.       I bring my packed lunch to work.

8.       During payday I take off 10%-20% off my net income to put into my savings account. This one is the hardest thing to do but it makes me happy when I know I got to save more for that month.

9.       Live a simple life. Don’t be a snob or purchase things that are expensive especially if you can’t afford it. I learned this mantra from our former sr. accountant of the company I am working right now.

10.   I watch my savings grow and it gives me a satisfaction that I am on the right track. I giggle when I reach or meet my target amount quarterly.

I hope those tips I mentioned above will also inspires you to save more and be financially free from debts! Why not share your saving tips on the comment section below so that we can discuss it.

Loreal Anti-Freeze Serum Leave On & 6 Reasons Why I like it

I have unruly hair and if you happened to be one of my closest friends you would know that I'm super addicted on using hair serum! It is timely that I run out of Etude House hair serum and the shopping hormones was activated in me that day. I went to Watson’s and Loreal Anti-Frizz Serum caught my eyes.  I guess it was love at first sight that I immediately run to the cashier to pay for the product. Hehe.

L'oreal Smooth Intense Anti-Frizz Serum Leave On
(Sorry for the bad resolution of the photo because I shot it using my dinosaur phone)

It has been two weeks since I am using it and I find a tremendous result in my hair. Here are my top 6 reasons why I like the product:

  1. It has this subtle floral scent like jasmine.
  2. It is not sticky nor oily when I apply it on my hair.
  3. My hair becomes less rebellious and easy to manage.
  4. It gives my hair a mild shine minus the oily wet look.
  5. It is cheaper I bought it at Watson's for 345 pesos! It is more inexpensive than the Etude House Hair Serum.
  6. It has Argan oil which is very good on hair.
